The content on this site is provided for general information and education. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for any of those. Reading this site, sending a message, or booking a consultation does not create a coach-client relationship. A coach-client relationship begins only when a Coaching Agreement has been signed by both parties.

Not for Emergencies

This website and my services are not emergency services. If you are in crisis or experiencing an emergency, call 911 (in the United States), contact your local emergency number, or go to the nearest emergency room. Coaching Is Not Therapy

The services described on this site are coaching. Coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions and is not a substitute for mental health care. Therapy services for California residents are offered separately at maringhigacounseling.com.

Booking and Payment

Scheduling, fees, cancellation, and all terms of service delivery are governed by the Coaching Agreement and, where applicable, the Retreat Agreement. Fees listed on this site may change, and current fees are confirmed before you book.

Intellectual Property

The content of this site, including text and design, belongs to Maring Higa. You may view and share it for personal, non-commercial purposes; any other use requires written permission.

Third-Party Services and Links

This site uses and links to third-party services, including scheduling, payment, and form providers. I am not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party services, which are governed by their own terms.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

This site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maring Higa is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this site, and total liability arising from use of the site will not exceed one hundred dollars. Liability relating to coaching services is governed by the Coaching Agreement.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute relating to this website is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in San Diego County, California.
