This policy explains what information is collected when you use this website and the coaching services offered through it, how it is used, and the choices you have. This site is operated by Maring Higa ("I", "me"). Questions are always welcome at maringhiga@gmail.com.

What I Collect

• Contact form. When you send a message, I receive the name, email address, and message content you provide. The form is processed by Formspree.
• Scheduling. When you book a consultation or session, Cal.com collects your name, email, time zone, and any answers you provide to booking questions, and shares them with me.
• Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number. I receive confirmation of payment and basic transaction details.
• Correspondence and coaching records. Emails you send me, signed agreements, intake responses, and brief coaching working notes.
• Website analytics. Standard log and analytics data, such as pages visited and general location, may be collected by the website platform.

How I Use It

I use this information to respond to you, schedule and provide coaching services, take payment, keep business records, and meet legal obligations. I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties for their advertising.

Services I Rely On

This site and my practice use third-party services that process data on my behalf: Formspree (contact form), Cal.com (scheduling), Stripe (payments), Google (email and documents), a video conferencing provider for sessions, and an electronic signature service for agreements. Each has its own privacy policy governing its handling of your data.

Coaching Confidentiality

What you share with me inside coaching sessions is governed by the confidentiality terms of the Coaching Agreement, which is separate from and in addition to this website policy.

Retention

I keep personal information only as long as needed to provide services, maintain reasonable business records, and meet legal requirements, and then delete it.

Your Choices and Rights

You may email me at any time to ask what information I hold about you, to correct it, or to request its deletion, subject to records I am required to keep. If you are a California resident, or if you are located in a region such as the EU or UK with data protection rights, I will honor access, correction, and deletion requests consistent with those laws.

International Visitors

I am located in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States.

Age

This website and my services are intended for adults 18 and older. I do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
